What Is Wax Art

Wax art is the making of candles using granulated wax. This wax is typically colored paraffin and includes hardeners within the wax.

As noted above, wax art contains some special ingredients and color so don't confuse it with granulated pure paraffin which has no color or hardeners. The term wax art derives from sand art For those not familiar with sand art, it is the filling of bottles with colored sand to make a decorative display. Wax art has the advantage of being functional as well as decorative - you can burn the candle. Once completed, sand art is basically just a dust collector on your shelf. Read more.
